SPREAD

Design and process exhibitions providing a look at the methodology prevalent in the development of a design – capturing a glimpse of the design thinking that occurs while ideating. This initial phase is juxtaposed against the final execution and creates a stark visual contrast – rewarding the viewer with insight and understanding of the design process.

// By presenting this exhibition of design thinking and execution, we help legitimize the design journey through a visually descriptive discourse. We elevate the overall perception of the individuals within the profession by showing the viewer what goes into a design.

More info

A design and process exhibition featuring a diverse selection of Saskatoon based graphic designers. These designers represented a wide array of backgrounds – from some of the city’s biggest agencies to owners of their own studios. The projects on display showcased the breadth of work done by local designers and provided insight to the range of communications often dealt with through graphic design. This exhibition was held at three different facilities in Saskatoon over the period of 2 years. The events were well attended and provided positive reinforcement of the power of design – as aesthetically pleasing and as a communications device.

Testimonials

The interest in the show – both by the participants and the general public – exceeded my expectations. The one-shot exhibition turned into three shows in unique spaces that allowed for a variety of audience viewership.
